Beta LED lights up Lyndon State College
Lyndon State College in Lyndonville, VT recently made the switch from HPS to LED using Beta LED's EDGE family of luminaires.
Beta LED's EDGE fixtures are specifically designed to handle the unique characteristics of the LED light source and utilize patented NanoOptic technology which provides excellent optic control and uniformity with little or no "hot spots".
To upgrade the 96,750 square foot parking lot on LSC's campus the engineering firm of Lane Associates, in cooperation with the CWA Lighting Group and Beta Lighting, designed for the use of (21) Beta EDGE area lights with 4 light bar optics (each light bar houses 20 LEDs) and Type III distribution. These fixtures were also designed with dual circuitry so that light levels and energy consumption could be controlled during high and low activity times.
EDGE LED fixtures carry a 5-year warranty on the LEDs and driver, a 10-year warranty on the finish, contain no mercury and have a rated lamp life of over 100,000 hours.
